Green Jobs Rally
to Bring Labor Leaders, Environmentalists, and Community Leaders Together
for Economic and Global Warming Solutions

People ranging from rank and file union members, community groups, and environmentalists are joining to rally for green jobs. The event will feature great speakers, music, and tables from a wide range of groups. Rally goers will be part of the largest human wind turbine ever in Minnesota. A list of cosponsors is available upon request.

The rally is part of the Green Jobs for America campaign, which is a national campaign of the Sierra Club, United Steelworkers, Blue Green Alliance, Green for All, NRDC, and Working America. This rally is part of our Green Jobs for America campaign urging our Minnesota leaders and decision makers, including Governor Pawlenty, to make reinvigorating our economy through investments in clean, renewable energy a priority.

* Ray Waldron, president of the Minnesota AFL-CIO
* Leo Gerard, international president of the United Steelworkers
