If your idea of a great party is getting together with a bunch of progressive activists who share your dream of a government controlled by citizens rather than corporations, then you canäó»t miss the PDA 10th birthday bash.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Tickets are $30 for the day program (includes a simple lunch) and $100 for the day program and the reception. The proceeds will help PDA keep up its important work of moving the Progressive agenda forward..
PDA was born in Roxbury, MA in 2004 and to celebrate our birthday we have gathered members of our Advisory Board from around the country to help us review our past, celebrate our accomplishments and discuss the future. We want you to join us.
We have a big day planned. Weäó»ll begin the day with a welcome address by John Nichols (The Nation) at 9:30 followed by:
Jeff Cohen (founding Director of the Park Center for Independent Media)
Thom Hartmann (syndicated radio and TV host)
Cole Stangler In These Times)
US Rep. Jim McGovern (D-Mass)
Medea Benjamin (Code Pink)
Tom Hayden (director of the Peace and Justice Resource Center)
Benjamin Day (Healthcare Now)
Mark Dudzic (Labor Campaign for Single Payer Healthcare)
Jim Hightower (The Hightower Lowdown),
Mimi Kennedy (actress and chair of the PDA Advisory Board)
Andrea Miller (PDA National)
Conor Boylan (PDA National)
Michael Lighty (National Nurses United)
Kim Buchan (PDA National)
Tim Carpenter (National Chairman PDA)
And a few surprises to boot. The day of discussion and give and take will be followed by a VIP reception where youäó»ll have the chance to mingle äó_ and drink wine and eat cake.
We have never been able to get these people all together in our neighborhood; you wonäó»t want to miss this day. Contact [email protected] right now for information. Visit www.pdamerica.org to register. May 10th is not far off.
